Fundraiser Letters

The best way to inform members of your group, and their parents, about all of the specifics of your fundraiser is to use a series of three letters called FUNDRAISER-GRAMS.

FUNDRAISER-GRAM #1 – This letter #1 goes to the parent/participants one week before the sale begins. It lets them know that you’re going to have a magazine drive, why your fundraising, and when. This way the parents are not surprised when their child comes home with the fundraiser materials.

FUNDRAISER-GRAM #2 - This letter #2 is passed out to each participant along with the sales materials at the Kickoff. It explains how to sell the magazines, who to contact, what to say, when to turn in the orders and payments.

FUNDRAISER-GRAM #3 - This is an one important letter too! It goes to parent/participants half way through the sale and serves as a reminder that the campaign is in progress and they should get going if they haven’t already. Highlight definite turn in dates and emphasize the importance of the fundraiser’s success.

Taking the time to send out all three fundraiser-grams will get more to participate, and those that participate will sell more. It could DOUBLE your profit! If they don’t know who, what, where, when and why, they might not participate.

Announcing:
An Exciting New Fundraiser That Has
No Product For You To Deliver Or Pick Up

We are having a fundraiser for (name of group) beginning (day & date).
This year we are going to sell magazine subscriptions.

WHAT IT IS - WHAT IT ISN’T

This fundraiser does not involve selling overpriced products.
Subscriptions are all one year long, starting as low as $10, they are discounted from the cover price.

PRIZES - PRIZES - PRIZES

If our group sells 200+ the top seller wins an iPod Shuffle or $50 gift certificate to iTunes.( And/ Or you describe your FUN & EXCITING PRIZE PROGRAM. )

MARK YOUR CALENDAR . . .

Look for your fundraiser packet and Fundraiser-Gram #2 on (day & date).

REMEMBER . . .

Magazine Subscription Fundraiseris as EASY as 1 - 2 – 3

1. Ask friends, relatives, neighbors (everyone you know) to support our group by buying at least one magazine.
2. Be sure and have your parents take some the brochure and order forms to work for a couple days. Have them remind their co-workers to bring in their checkbook. Checks are made to ‘MagRaise’.
3. Bring in order forms and checks, and subscriptions will be delivered in 10-12 weeks from the end of the fundraiser.

If our group sells 200+ the top sell wins an iPod Shuffle or $50 gift certificate to iTunes.( And/ Or you describe your FUN & EXCITING PRIZE PROGRAM. )
